Golders Green

At CUF, we are appalled by the hatred and violence we are seeing, which is fuelled by antisemitism. Through our Near Neighbours programme, we work hand in hand with different faith groups to build strong, inclusive, and welcoming communities. Antisemitism does the opposite. We know Britain is a better place when the values of love, peace and tolerance are at the heart of our communities. Therefore, we are encouraging all CUF's partners through the Together Network and Near Neighbours, and all churches, to reach out to their local synagogue and Jewish communities, to offer solidarity and full support, and to report any witnessed incidents of antisemitism to the police. Our thoughts, friendship and prayers are with the Jewish community at this sad and devastating time.

We believe in the power of community to change lives

For nearly 40 years CUF has mobilised people, churches and whole communities to tackle complex challenges like poverty and exclusion, and to make a positive difference. This work is founded on the belief that local people know their communities best, and that local skills and knowledge are the key to building communities where material needs are met and everyone feels connected, valued and loved.

How we work

CUF was established by the Church of England as a practical response to unmet need and has been active in local communities for nearly 40 years.

We work through networks of local partners to deliver our vision to see communities of hope acting together to serve and strengthen society.

A union of faith-based partnerships, driven by the desire to tackle social inequality across England.

Making diverse communities stronger by encouraging people to build relationships of trust.

A national charity dedicated to improving financial education so that every child and family has equal opportunity to thrive.
