Together we can change more lives and communities.

Over the last few years Church Urban Fund has been going through a period of change. Our new look is intended to reflect the progress made and the light of God shining through our work. We are having a huge impact in changing lives and communities together.  We know that 10 million people in this country rely on the social action initiatives provided by churches. CUF is a unique charitable arm of the Church of England working both locally and nationally to drive positive change within our communities.

Our Together Network, now has nearly twenty partnerships between CUF and dioceses around the country reflecting a shift to home development agency from grant giver. Working locally we support hundreds of churches that are providing activities from food banks and debt advice, to night shelters and job clubs. Also our Together Grants help to fund projects that over 2,000 people rely on each week.

The Government funded Near Neighbours programme delivered through CUF, invested over £1m last year in grassroots activity to bring people together in ethnically diverse communities and build relationships of trust. There are now 1,100 faith, charitable and community bodies working together across our areas of work.

This year the Archbishop's initiative around fair finance will be taken forward by CUF, to build on the pilot work to date that engaged over 300 churches and trained 250 people in two areas to help thousands of people manage their money better.
