Sadly the issue of visible and invisible homelessness is rising across the Black Country.

TCT works together with a number of partners to tackle this important topic.

1) Raising Awareness

To help bring together those involved in this work and those who would like to make a difference in this complex area, we co-hosted the Housing Justice Black Country Roadshow. Housing Justice is the national voice of Christian action to prevent homelessness and bad housing.

At the conference, we recognised that there is much excellent work is already taking place across the region, and raised major issues of wider political significance.

We also identified areas of activities which we can progress together.

We had a number of speakers from local charities and from local authorities, as well as a commitment from the West Midlands Mayor Andy Street to tackle homelessness.

3) Working to change practice

We are delighted to be part of West Midlands Anti-Slavery Nnetwork Homelessness and Modern Slavery Task Group, which overlaps with our current Modern Slavery work.
