Transforming Communities Together (TCT) is a charitable company, limited by guarantee and registered in England (Company No. 9010580 and Registered Charity No. 1157772) we are governed by our Trustee Board

We are a Joint Venture with the Church Urban Fund and Lichfield Diocese. We seek to encourage and support the ministry of churches and local organisations in communities who are vulnerable to or experiencing aspects of poverty. Its core development work is funded directly by the Church Urban Fund on a reducing scale, with all other streams of work receiving independent funding.

We are pleased to be accredited as a Living Wage employer by the Living Wage Foundation*

What do we do?

How do you work?

We work with churches and organisations in the Black Country, Staffordshire and the Potteries, helping local communities flourish so that people can enjoy life in all its fullness.

Working in partnership is one of our key values. We are proud to be part of the Together Network, allowing the sharing of expertise and resources with between Development Workers across England.

We work alongside a variety of partners in each community, engaging with key people, allowing them to respond effectively to issues of poverty and social justice.

What is your aim?

Are you a faith based charity?

We are a Christian charity but not all of our staff would say they have a faith basis. We work alongside many different people and organisations, irrespective of their gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.

How do you tackle poverty together?

* Poverty is a complicated topic. We think of poverty as a complex web of factors that stop people thriving.

* We follow an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, building on the great work that is already happening across the Black Country, Staffordshire and the rest of the Diocese.
