Shrove Tuesday is next week! Have you got your pancake party organised? No? No need to panic. Not all pancake parties are big.

All across the country churches, schools, and other community groups are getting together to take part in the Big Pancake Party. But there are also a lot of people who are having smaller pancake parties. The main requirements for you to take part in the Big Pancake Party are to share some pancakes and to raise some money for those who need it most.

What we’re trying to say is, don’t worry about inviting half the neighbourhood round. Why not invite a couple of friends over, have a couple of pancakes with them, contribute a little bit of money, and donate it towards those going hungry? Every little bit that is raised can go towards supporting those who are going hungry through holiday support groups, food banks, and community cafes.

So, if you’d like to take part in the Big Pancake Party in your own little way, you can register here.

If hosting any kind of pancake party is just a little step too far for you, perhaps you could donate some money instead?
