What if people directly facing poverty are involved in making the decisions about how to tackle poverty?

This question is at the heart of Grassroots Voices, City Shapers, which aims to understand the causes and real effects of poverty in our city.

We are working in partnership with grassroots voices in the city. They have all experienced poverty and hardship, but they want to help others and improve inequality, by working with the city shapers from the civic and business who make the decisions about how our city is run.

We recently had our launch event at The Molineux, where our grassroots voices shared their experiences at a public meeting with over 100 residents, business and civic leaders from the city in attendance. People then pledged support for the process.
