We can’t quite believe we’re about to say this but - Pancake Day is over for another year! It was amazing to hear about so many different events taking place all over the country, so we decided to round the very best of them up for you to take a look at. We've put together a little video of our highlights from the day below.

We kicked things off in our office with #BigPancakeParty fan Benjamina, who also just so happens to be a former contestant on the Great British Bake Off. Benjamina helped us serve an awesome array of pancakes, waffles, brownies, and other baked treats to a crowd of hungry staff!

Next up, we visited Cudham Primary school in Biggin Hill, where chefs Zoe and Jamie whipped up a storm. It was great to see so many people giving up their time and energy to put on such a lovely, heartwarming afternoon of fun.

Speaking of schools, we were also able to visit St Mary’s Primary School on St Mary’s Island, Chatham. Pupils and parents packed out the school hall and tucked into pancakes. Thanks to a generous donation from the local Asda, there were hundreds of pancakes for the cheerful crowd - it was fantastic to see so many people standing up for those going hungry in our country.

Universities also had a go at hosting their own Big Pancake Party - we popped in to the Royal Veterinary College, who put on a wonderful get together for students and staff. There were even some American students who got to try their first British style Shrove Tuesday!

Ely Cathedral hosted an epic pancake race, complete with choir boys and the local bishops! The roar of the crowd filled the cathedral as they cheered the racers on, and afterwards everyone stayed around for a pancake and a drink.

Both Ely Cathedral and Worcester Cathedral treated us to spectacular pancake races - which one do you think is best?

Phew! What a day. We’ve had some brilliant photos sent in from a few of your Big Pancake Parties too - check out our smallest Pancake Partygoer, little Freddie from Devon.

We’ve also seen this rather brilliant action shot from Rachel in North Walsham -do you have any photos which could beat this great pancake toss?

And finally, Chris from Dewsbury sent us this great picture of the vicar making pancakes with the children in the congregation. We're loving the hat!
