Jeremy Aspinall – Director of Fundraising & Communications

Jeremy has been with CUF for 5 years and before that ran a number of successful Advertising and Marketing agencies. He is an active member of St. Johns Stanmore and lay preacher. Married with three grown up children, he likes sailing and Spain. He has a BSc from Aston University.

Rachel Sharpe - Director of Partnerships

Rachel joined CUF in December 2016.  Over the past few years she’s worked for a Christian meditation charity as Director of Development and as Head of Strategy for a global energy consultancy which most recently took her to Iran.  A couple of years ago she also spent time in Kolkata working for Mother Teresa’s home for the dying and taught primary school children in a slum outside the city. Rachel is passionate about the restoration of contemplative practice to Christianity and the relationship between interior transformation and social change. In her spare time, she is working on the development of a meditation project in the Cotswolds and loves to practice yoga. Rachel has an MBA from Kingston Business School and is part-way through a Master’s in Sustainable Development.

Samuel Low – Operations Manager

Samuel joined CUF in late 2015 from Macmillan Cancer Support where he worked in their Corporate Partnerships Department. He is responsible for managing and formulating the strategic organisational processes for CUF and the Joint Ventures across England, as well as managing the database and high-value project support. He enjoys the outdoors, fishing and kayaking, and holds a BA (Hons) from The University of Southampton. 

Elissa Day – Community Events Manager

Elissa joined the CUF fundraising team in 2014 after moving from Sydney to London. Prior to moving, Elissa worked at Cancer Council NSW for 3 years rolling out major community fundraising events such as Daffodil Day, Pink Ribbon Day and Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. She has worked across both corporate and charity settings and has a BA majoring in Event Management. Elissa is married, lives in central London and attends Christchurch London in Stockwell. 

Tim Burton-Jones – Communications Officer

Tim started at CUF in 2016 after spending a year working as a Communications Officer for CUF’s partner organisation, Near Neighbours. Before that he studied Religion in the Contemporary World at King’s College London. He enjoys fiction in all its forms and shouting at the TV when Liverpool are playing. 

Trudy Adjrah – Head of Supporter Development

Trudy has worked at Church Urban Fund since 2013, and has worked in fundraising for over 10 years, across a range of disciplines. She has a Certificate in Fundraising Management and is a member of the Institute of Fundraising.

Elieshia Hinds – Database and Supporter Services Officer

Elieshia has worked for Church Urban Fund since 2014 and is fairly new to fundraising.  She has worked in various retail companies and a mega UK church.  Elieshia is a wife, mother of 3 and has over 10 years’ experience in data management and customer services. 

Lynsey Robinson – Database and Supporter Services Officer

Lynsey started as Database Officer Support Services in 2016 after spending a year working for Church Urban Fund as the Fundraising and Communications Intern. Alongside working part time for CUF she is studying MA Education, Gender and International Development at UCL Institute of Education. Before moving to London Lynsey worked as a teacher in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.




Aimee Nott - Fundraising Events Intern

Aimee joined CUF in 2016 as a Fundraising and Events Intern, after completing her BA in History and Politics at Warwick University. Alongside studying, she spent a year in Australia enjoying all the good food and beaches Melbourne had to offer, and interned at international development charity TEAR Australia. Aimee enjoys travelling, cooks badly and attends Cheam Baptist Church in Sutton. 

 Anastasia Bartlett - Fundraising Events Intern

Anna joined CUF as a Fundraising and Events intern in 2016 having moved from Durham to London to study a BA in English Literature at King’s College London. At university Anna played basketball (unsuccessfully) and netball (somewhat successfully) and has spent 21 years as a disappointed Newcastle United fan.
