Together Network

Together Canterbury is a member of the Together Network which has joint ventures all around the country. Through this network we are able to share experiences and training, spread best practice and advocate on behalf of those we serve.

Diocese of Canterbury

The Diocese of Canterbury provides the contacts and introductions into the church network and the wider relationships of the Communities and Partnerships Framework as well as administrative support.

Kent Savers Credit Union

Kent Savers Credit Union is the credit union serving the geographical area of the Diocese of Canterbury. There are six branches currently run through churches covering Murston, Newington, Tenterden and Canterbury. The patron of Kent Savers is the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Citizens Advice Bureau

Through the community hubs, strong links have been built with the CAB who at some locations provide an outreach worker on a weekly basis. The hubs signpost clients to the local CAB office and assist by offering CAB clients time and an opportunity to share their problems over tea or coffee.

Kent County Council

As well as having a Board member who is a senior officer at the County Council, Together Canterbury works closely with a number of the community focussed departments to assist access to the services being provided.

Newington Big Local

Funded by the Lottery, Newington Big Local is an exciting opportunity for the residents to make a lasting and positive difference to their community and lives. Together Canterbury have been working with Newington Big Local to develop the community hub and promote the ethical products of Kent Savers Credit Union as an alternative to the high cost lenders operating within the community.

Canterbury Diocese assists the Big Local as a locally trusted organisation helping to administer the funding and deliver the projects.

Connecting Canterbury

Operating out of a number of locations across the city of Canterbury, Connecting Canterbury offers signposting with a listening ear and a cup of tea or coffee. Twice a week they are alongside the Canterbury Food Bank and also offer branch facilities for the Kent Savers Credit Union.

Herne Bay Community Support

Open with a drop in cafe alongside Canterbury Food Bank, Herne Bay Community Support offers signposting with a listening ear and a cup of tea or coffee. They can be found at St Andrews Church Hall at Hampton on a Tuesday and at Christ Church Herne Bay on a Friday.
