"Don’t go there mummy, they will rip you off!"

The little boy’s mum was just about to step into the shop full of washing machines, fridges, computers and sofas. He tugged at her hand to stop her from going in.

He’d heard about places like this, at school, in his LifeSavers class. He’d been taught that in some shops even though the prices seemed really cheap, that in the long run they ended up costing you far more the goods were actually worth.

This is an actual testimony from a parent of a child who was been part of the LifeSavers curriculum, delivered through the Just Finance Foundation.

LifeSavers is a financial education programme, giving primary-aged school children the life skills to manage money wisely. And the impact of LifeSavers is that children are sharing what they learn with their families meaning that even more people are impacted by the LifeSavers programme.

So thank you, your gift today means that more children can become financially resilient, impacting not only their own lives but their families and communities, too.
