Jon Miles:
Jon is Development Manager for Church Urban Fund, working on most things to do with setting up, running and developing Together partnerships across the country, including help with governance, planning, recruitment of workers, supporting workers and trustees, network meetings and gatherings. He has a background in regeneration and community development work, and experience working in the private, public and charity sectors, as well as involvement in a range of church-based initiatives.

Morris Rodham:
The Venerable Morris Rodham is the Archdeacon Missioner for the Diocese of Coventry. Born and bred in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, he is passionate about the transformation of local communities.  As vicar of St Mary’s Church in an Urban Priority Area of Leamington for 13 years, he initiated a multi-cultural community project on a multi-cultural estate, raising over £1.2 million for a new purpose-built centre catering for multi-ethnic and multi-faith groups. He also initiated mentoring projects (nationally accredited) to help people affected by substance and alcohol misuse, established a debt advice centre based in the church, and also developed work with the homeless, including securing private funding of £200,000 in a unique project to assist the homeless find housing in partnership working with local landlords. As Archdeacon Missioner, Morris helps develop strategy across 240 churches in the Diocese, including encouraging all churches to engage with the most disadvantaged in their communities.

Arthur Woo:

Arthur is the vicar of Christ Church in Coventry and is passionate about discipleship and mission. Christ Church is active in the community offering stay and play, gatherings for seniors, Slimming World and much more. The church has recently launched a lunch club aimed at lonely and isolated seniors in the Cheylesmore area working in collaboration with Murray Lodge. Arthur was previously was a electronics and systems engineer in the semiconductor industry, and enjoys camping and squash.

Ruth Marlow (chair):

Ruth Marlow was born and brought up in Sheffield before going to the University of Birmingham where she studied biological sciences and geography. After completing her degree Ruth moved to Nottingham and joined Nottingham City Council where she worked in the council’s Housing Department. In 1985 Ruth qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Ruth continued her career in Housing over the next twelve years, before becoming the Chief Executive of North Kesteven District Council in Lincolnshire and then Managing Director of Mansfield District Council. In these roles Ruth focused on organisational development and service improvement as well as staff training and development.

In 2014 Ruth became a trustee of TNT – Transforming Notts Together – a member of the CUF Together Network. It is her experience with TNT that makes us believe she will be a valuable asset to our board.
