Celebrate churches changing lives and communities together

Thank you to everyone to supported and participated in Poverty Sunday this year! Please make sure you send in any donations using the details below and clearly marked for Poverty Sunday.

Poverty Sunday was celebrated on Sunday 12th June however you can support and run activities anytime throughout the year.
Thousands of churches around the country are working to support people in their communities, providing activities ranging from food banks and debt advice, to night shelters and job clubs.

On Sunday June 12th we invited church communities to reflect on this work by:

  1. Sharing lunch together
Get together for a “Bring and Share” lunch, invite your community to contribute food to share, a story about good things happening and a donation to help CUF's work go further.

  2. Sharing stories together
  3. Sharing resources together
    • Great work is being done, but it needs your support to carry on being effective.
    • Many projects struggle to survive in the poorest communities.
    • Can you donate through CUF to enable more lives and communities to change for the better?

  4. For reflection and home groups
The church is called to join with God in his mission to see the kingdom come in our world.
    • Read and discuss sections of “Building Kingdom Communities” report
    • Week 1 - Seeing more clearly
    • Week 2- Listening more deeply
    • Week 3 - Living more differently
