At Advent we prepare for the arrival of the indescribable gift of Jesus Christ – coming to be present with us in our difficulties and our joys. But with images of Black Friday and Cyber Monday fresh on our minds it can be easy to become jaded about the commercialisation of this season.

And with one in five people facing homelessness on the streets, or making hard choices about paying the rent, or buying enough food for their children, hope can be in short supply.

At CUF this Advent we want to bring stories of hope where people in desperate situations, with some support have turned/ transformed their lives. This is the incarnation of the Christmas story.
