We thank you that you are Lord of all healing, comfort,

restoration and peace. We thank you that you hold dear those

who are hurting, broken and in poverty. We thank you that you

are at work, comforting the grieving and restoring joy to the

hopeless. We thank you for your presence.

 

Share with us your limitless compassion and love for your lost

and broken people. Share with us your anger at the oppression

of poverty, exclusion and abuse of power.

 

We pray that you will break the chains of injustice and set your

people free to be as you intended. Help us to restore healthy,

vibrant and generous communities, full of love, and banish

loneliness and despair.

 

Guide and strengthen us for we all are needy.
