The first Sunday in June - which we call CUF Sunday - is a time to celebrate the faith and dedication of the projects that we support; to pray for the project staff and volunteers, and for the lives that they have helped to transform.
We hope that you'll pray with us and support us by holding your own CUF Sunday service on 7 June, or on an alternative date depending on your plans. Seeds of Hope is our new two-year campaign, which we are launching on CUF Sunday, 7 June.
Britain is currently facing an unprecedented financial crisis. People who are already affected by debt, unemployment, and social exclusion are likely to be the hardest hit, and will need the most support. Seeds of Hope is Church Urban Fund's response to the recession - we are raising money to change lives.
Over the next two years, the Seeds of Hope campaign will see us raising money so that we can double the number of projects we support across the country, and the number of people who benefit from them. As the Archbishop of York, Dr. John Sentamu has said: " we shall plant Seeds of Hope in the furrows of despair".
