This guide looks at how a diverse group of churches within the Church of England (the Deanery of Waltham Forest) addressed change by commissioning an audit to examine the state of the organisation, its finances, its property and its people.

The aim behind this guide is:

To inform, so that other deaneries within the Church of England may understand the process

To reflect on whether such a process would assist the Church's mission in other areas

To learn from the process so that mistakes can be avoided and, as other deaneries follow suit, the process be made continuously more effective
