A to Z of fundraising
There are a range of events you can use to raise money for Church Urban Fund. This A to Z lists just a few:

is for Auction
B
is for Business
 
Ask us for an information pack on running an Auction of Promises in aid of Church Urban Fund. You'll be surprised at what people are willing to offer for auction!
 
 
Approach your company - or others locally - to sponsor or organise a fundraising event. They may even match what you raise pound for pound
C
is for Charitybike
D
is for Dinner
 
Ask us about these unique bikes with up to 24 seats. Sponsored teams can compete to ride around a town in the fastest time - team building and fun!
 
Invite friends to eat at your home and pay what they would have spent in a restaurant. A group of friends could have a different course in each home!

is for Ebay *

is for Fete, Fayre & Fun Day
 
Sell an unwanted gift, or something you no longer need, online and donate all or a share of the proceeds
 
Donate a share of the proceeds from your church or school event or start something new with a few friends each running a stall in aid of Church Urban Fund

is for Golf

is for House-to-House *
 
Approach a local club about having a Golf Day and get local businesses to enter teams
 
Ask the local Council for a licence. Volunteers can do just a few roads each. Ask Church Urban Fund for a supply of envelopes

Organise a special event, such as a themed food evening, and raise funds while enjoying the meal and the company

is for Lent
 
Invite local organisations to enter teams to take part in a series of fun challenges
 
Give something up for Lent and donate the money you save, or get together with friends and have a sponsored slim

is for Marathon *

is for Nearly New Sale
 
Enter the ballot for London, the Great North Run or something more local (and possibly shorter!)
 
Find a local hall or car park to use for a couple of hours and invite people to pay for a pitch at a car boot sale
O
is for Opportunity

is for Party
 
Think about who you know, the company you work for, the club you belong to: there are all sorts of possibilities
 
Dancing, food, games, music: invite people to come along and enjoy themselves while making a donation to CUF
Q
is for Quiz *

is for Raffle
 
Get together and hold a quiz evening. Contact us for more information and even a set of questions!
 
Add a raffle to boost the sum raised by a quiz, for example, or arrange to have one at some other meeting or event

is for Treasure Hunt *
 
Walk, trek, run, cycle, swim, slim, fast, sleep out: there are all sorts of things you can do to raise sponsorship money for Church Urban Fund
 
Ask us for an information pack on running a treasure hunt, which can be on foot, by bike or in the car - the whole family can join in

is for Urban Adventure *

is for Valuation
 
Ask Church Urban Fund for details of this brand new 12-hour challenge for corporate teams of 4, to be held in London in April 2007
 
Invite people to pay a small sum per item to be valued professionally by a local firm of auctioneers
W
 is for Walk

is for Xmas
 
Enter an event where walkers choose the charity to benefit, or arrange one yourself along a well mapped local path
 
Remember people in need during the festive season by organising a collection, a raffle or another event
Y
is for Young People
Z
is for Zeal
 
Remember to give children the chance to help others by taking part in an event, or approach a local school
 
Whatever you do, enthusiasm can be infectious and will help you to achieve even more than you might have imagined
