PRESS RELEASE: Tim Runs for CUF
The ballot places on the London Marathon have been announced. Tim Bissett the Director of Regeneration and Development at the Church Urban Fund will be running on behalf of the Fund. “It would be great if a runner who has been allocated a space but has not decided if they are running for a charity would consider joining me to raise money for the Fund’s work. It’s a really important cause; we will be raising support for the poorest communities in England".
The Fund, which supports work with some of the poorest communities in England will be launching a campaign in the middle of 2006 to make more of the general public aware of the levels of poverty in this country. Tim who has run for many years says, “I am pleased that I have been given this opportunity to run to support some amazing people who are working to see their communities thrive. These people are the hero’s and heroines of our society and it is a privilege to be able to raise awareness of what is being done and how much more can be achieved".

The Church Urban Fund has given over £54 million to projects and programmes in England and to date over 4,400 projects have been funded. |
