The Contextual Theology Centre

CTC is based at the Royal Foundation of St Katharine in East London.
It exists to help local Christians connect their faith more deeply with their daily life and work – and in particular to act with neighbours of different faiths and of none for social transformation. The Centre grows out of local churches’ engagement in broad-based community organising.
In addition to Near Neighbours, CTC's main areas of work are:
- community organising - helping a growing range of churches develop grassroots leaders, build relationships with other faiths, and act together for social justice
- research - learning from and resourcing the work of our local churches, in partnership with leading universities and charities
