Bradford Churches for Dialogue and Diversity
BCDD is a registered charity (1110761) and was established in July 2005 as an ecumenical resource providing learning opportunities for lay and ordained people, in Christian and multi-faith settings.
BCDD's vision is “Enabling human flourishing in the context of religious diversity”. It seeks to achieve this vision by:
- Resourcing and inspiring churches in their presence and engagement in multi-faith society
- Creating space within and between religious communities to promote mutual human flourishing, locally and globally
- Resourcing and inspiring organisations to increase religious literacy
- Providing opportunities for transformational encounters and theological reflection through education, training and other resources
- Development of local community action and social justice advocacy
- Working relationally with individuals and organisations, both religious and secular
- Increasing awareness of BCDD’s resources, skill-base and activities locally, regionally and nationally, working proactively on inter-faith issues
Through the Near Neighbours programme, BCDD will expand its work to Oldham and Burnley and have a greater involvement in grassroots activities.
