Week Six

Verse for the week
‘You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.' (Psalm 119:114)

Prayer for the week
Lord God, we come to you at this season of Lent remembering how Jesus suffered and was tempted in the wilderness: a time when we consider what we, who have so much, might give up from our plenty to acknowledge your presence in our lives.

Lord we thank you for those women who during the past year, through the auspices of One25, have been able to make changes to their lifestyles, however small.

We thank you for the volunteers who night by night reach out to bring love and hope to broken lives.

We pray that you will be there for the women, keeping hope alive in their hearts, that one day their lives will be turned around.

That they may come to know the transforming power of Christ and find healing from their addictions.

We pray this in and through the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Amen.
