The Church Urban Fund’s programme of Impact Workshops is part of our work to offer support and advice to faith based social action organisations working in England’s poorest areas and with marginalised communities. The workshops aim to equip and enable staff, volunteers, management committee members (including those who are a ‘Jack – or Jill - of all trades’) to effectively develop the work of their project.
Specifically for individuals involved in faith based social action, these high quality one day workshops are based on talking with projects and focus on the kind of things you might lose sleep over but time isn’t on your side. The Church Urban Fund takes the significance of faith seriously in relation to the work being done in communities and this is reflected in the Impact Workshops.

These are user friendly workshops with a combination of expert input, sharing experiences, and plenty of opportunities to raise the issues that are of particular concern to you.
And more good news…
Through support from Capacitybuilders and the NVYO Programme of the Department for Children, Schools and Families there is no charge for attending the workshops and there are bursaries available to cover reasonable costs of travel, subsistence, accommodation and dependants’ care (over and above the first £25 i.e., if your total cost for attending a workshop is £150, we would reimburse £125).
Also…
Church Urban Fund knows that
fundraising is an issue that most faith based projects would like training on. One or two day fundraising training will be made available if there is sufficient demand in a local area. Again, for more details on how to arrange this contact Ann Morisy at
