Box network

Use your loose change to make a big change to deprived communities across the country.

It may not seem like much, but your loose change could support CUF in continuing its vital work in tackling poverty in this country. We’re asking CUF supporters to keep a collection box throughout the year, raising money from their loose change.

How does it work?

Become a Loose Change Collector

Sign up to be a loose change collector and keep a CUF collection box in your home, work place, school and feed it with small change. At the end of the year, hand your box back to your loose change co-ordinator or bank the money and send us a cheque.

The average raised by a loose change collector is enough to provide five hot meals for a homeless person, or a money and debt management session for someone who has lost their job.

Become a Loose Change Co-ordinator

Could you create a CUF loose change network in your community?

Give out CUF collection boxes to friends, family, work colleagues and church members and encourage them to collect their loose change. Once or twice a year, we’ll ask you to collect all the boxes, bank the money and send us a cheque for the sum collected by your network.

The average sum raised through a loose change network is enough to provide pillows and bedding for 40 beds at a winter shelter, or regular home visits to an elderly person who would otherwise be unlikely to have any human contact for weeks.
