Gift Aid
Did you know that the Inland Revenue will add 28p to every £1 that you give to the Church Urban Fund? This increases the value of your gift by almost one third more at no cost to yourself.

Am I eligible for Gift Aid?
If you are a UK tax payer then yes you are eleigible. This applies to income tax and capital gains tax at any rate. You just have to have paid enough tax to cover the amount we reclaim from the Inland Revenue within the current taxable year.

Do I have to give donations regularly?
No you do not need to give regularly. It can be a one off gift, direct debit or a standing order set up. We are able to claim back on donations of any amount made to us after 6 April 2000. When you fill out a declaration it will then cover all future donations that you make to the Church Urban Fund.

How does Gift Aid Work?
Once you give us permission to claim gift aid on your donation by completing the Gift Aid declaration form, we can then claim the tax back on the donation you have made. What this means is that your £10 donation will be worth £12.80 to us. For every £50 you donate we will receive £64.

How do I get started?
It quite simple. Please download and complete the Gift Aid declaration (pdf) when you make your donation to us. This is an opportunity to make your taxes to go something your really care about, it would be sad to miss it.
