Robin Hood Tax

Church Urban Fund is a member of the Robin Hood Tax coalition.

The Robin Hood Tax lobby group is asking for a 0.05% tax on speculative banking transactions (similar to the Tobin tax), to raise hundreds of billions of pounds each year.

The latest financial crisis has hit public services hard, and has left the poorest communities significantly worse off. A tiny tax on bankers could easily help to support vital services and help vulnerable communities.

We're not alone - a wide number of charities, development agencies and organisations are standing with us in support of the tax, from Christian Aid to UNICEF.
