Mission Partners

Church Urban Fund’s Mission Partner scheme is for churches who are keen to be more actively engaged with the mission of the charities they support.
This is part of a shared mission to be good news to the poor, and to raise awareness and understanding of poverty in this country.
It is an expression of solidarity between donor churches and churches ministering in our most deprived areas. We believe that mission giving should be a two-way relationship and that your church would benefit:
- by being inspired and challenged by what the Church is doing in our most deprived areas
- by becoming more aware of the needs of your local community
- by becoming more sensitive to the vulnerabilities we all share.
As a Mission Partner, you can engage with our work in a number of ways:
Connections - we will link your church to a CUF-supported project of your choice. Click here to find out more about our Mission Partner Link Projects.
Speakers – you will be offered a guest speaker from CUF to preach or speak about the work of the Church Urban Fund.
Project Visits – we will organise occasional visits to CUF-funded projects in your region to see for yourselves the work you are supporting.
Events – you will receive invitations to Supporter Conferences in your area and other regional events such as Retreats on the Street.
Resources - on request, we will send you resources for your church display board or parish magazine.
What will we ask CUF Mission Partners to do?
- Nominate Church Urban Fund as one of the core charities that your church supports
- Hold a special CUF Service with the aim of raising awareness of current poverty issues in England
- Identify a Church Urban Fund contact person in your church.
