POVERTY SUNDAY: A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO RESTORE BROKEN LIVES

Poverty Sunday is a day set aside in the Church calendar to pray for people and communities affected by poverty in England. This year, Poverty Sunday is 23rd of June, but you can hold a Poverty Sunday service at any time that suits your church's calendar.

Church Urban Fund was founded to enable churches like yours to become beacons of hope, love and justice for the poor in their communities. Since 1987 we have supported over 3,500 local and Christian projects. We ensure that those who have dedicated their lives to working with the country’s poorest receive the help and support they need to transform thousands of lives.

We make your church’s gifts go further by using them to support local projects run by dedicated teams of Christian workers and volunteers. We are helping them to share their knowledge and coordinate their work to reach more people.
